North of Tyne Neurological Forum (NoTNF)

The NoTNF covers the following PCT's: North Tyneside, Northumbria and Newcastle.

Priorities for the forum for 2011/12 are as follows

• Collate and disseminate information on employment and vocaional rehabilitation to provide staff with appropriate support to advise neuro patients and users
• Scope and identify training needs around neuro for community matrons, social workers and nursing home staff
• Share best practice on care coordination and person centred care from other services such as stroke
• Baseline current neuropsychology services
• identify what information is available to support patients, users and carers
• Improve the awareness of Walkergate Park Hospital services
