Northern Neurological Voices (NNV) was established in March 2011, initially in South of Tyne although we now having a growing membership in North of Tyne and across Northumberland.
(See below for the Membership Form)
NNV has been developed to ensure that people with a
neurological condition and their carers have an opportunity
to use their experiences to influence service design and improve a
whole range of services provided by the NHS, Local Authorities and
the voluntary sector?
If you would like to represent the interests of people with long
term neurological conditions or their carers in your area then join
our Voices.
The aim of the Northern Neurological Voices is to put the people
who matter at the heart of service design and commissioning, so
that you receive the service, treatment, information and support
that you need how and when you need it.
It isn't good enough that people who need specialist services only
get asked about the quality of their experience after they have
received it - that is, if they do get asked! It is important that
they are consulted at the concept and design stage and all along
their care and treatment pathway. We want you to make a
difference by telling your story, contributing to debate and
discussion and taking part in surveys by 'phone, face to face and
on the internet.
By sharing your experience you could improve life for others
with a neurological condition in your local area. Our
Northern Neurological Voices is here to help...
As a member you will:
Watch our film and see how members of Northern Neurological Voices are raising awareness about the Northern Neurological Alliance. We can make a difference - together.
